RESPONSIBILITY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The National Spring Conference 2027 will be organized responsibly and in accordance with sustainable development principles. The program takes place at venues located within walking distance in the city center of Lahti, reducing environmental impact from transportation and making movement between locations easy.

JCI Finland is an official partner of the United Nations and committed to the Agenda 2030 program. This commitment is reflected in practical conference solutions: we prioritize digital communication and paperless practices. Sustainability is also considered in catering, where vegetarian options are available. Whenever possible, we collaborate with local service providers and partners, supporting the regional economy and responsible procurement.

Lahti, the European Green Capital 2021, aims to become carbon neutral by 2028 and has also been awarded the Sustainable Travel Finland label. Several environmentally certified hotels are available among the conference accommodation options, supporting the event’s sustainability goals.

The conference particularly supports:
SDG 12 — Responsible Consumption and Production
SDG 13 — Climate Action
and, through collaboration with the city and partners,
SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals

Our goal is to create a high-quality, safe, and inclusive event that supports participants’ growth and networking, while respecting the environment, society, and the values and Code of JCI.
